Granada is the oldest inhabited city in the Americas.
The town has plenty of restored colonial buildings many now serving as boutique hotels and a great selection of restaurants, cafes and bars.
Granada is also an excellent base for tours to Las Isletas on Lake Nicaragua, the active Masaya Volcano and the cloud forest at Volcan Mombacho.
